Cindy Andries; Owner of Seeds of Silence Algarve in the Algarve: 

“I was able to take the plunge due to a fire at my home in Belgium, in which I lost everything. A place in India initially triggered this dream but I wanted to do it my own way”. From the age of 20, Cindy Andries knew that she didn’t want to stay in Belgium forever.

“Last year was mainly spent renovating with the help of friends from Belgium. Eventually, I was able to organise a wonderful retreat. Everyone was delighted. I still get messages from guests about the impact the retreat has had on their lives. There are good plans for 2021, but this of course depends on travel agencies.”

Any tips for dream hunters in the Algarve?

“There’s a lot that influences us in life that stop us doing what we want to do for ourselves. But it’s still possible through silence and reflection. I believe in inner strength and the impact it has on a person’s life. I know that my own faith and strength has brought me here and given me what I have. Without it, I wouldn't be here. Follow your feelings and don’t listen to those around you. Look deep inside yourself, because everyone has a dream. Take the time to do that, in whatever form."
